Monday Night Brewery

InBev, AB and America

Given the impending takeover of American Anheuser-Busch by Belgian InBev, I found the following picture hilariously ironic (click for larger view): Original picture found here. How much longer will AB be able to claim “America”? This topic is being discussed in depth elsewhere. And other elsewheres. But has anyone else noticed the new AB commercials hearkening [...]

We Suck; No Brewing

I could give you excuses. I could tell you that Jonathan’s absence is, believe it or not, strongly felt. I could tell you that Joel’s been out of the country for a week and his first day back is kicking his tail. I could tell you that my in-laws are in town [...]

Happy “America Rules” Day!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July. Don’t do anything stupid to give beer drinkers a bad name. On an unrelated note, I apologize for the lack of blogging lately. Until the doctors figure what’s going on and/or I get better spontaneously, I’m afraid it may continue. But rest assured, we’ll be [...]

Rough Start

For those of you that keg on a consistent basis, I’ve had a recurring issue that I just can’t figure out. We tapped our most recent batch of IPA about a week and a half ago and found it pretty disappointing. The flavor was flat, the aftertaste was metallic - it tasted like [...]

Brewing is off, Joel changes teams

Remember the Revolutionary War? Apparently Joel doesn’t. He’s across the pond fraternizing with King George and his ale-loving minions as we speak. And until either Joel comes back to the colonies or I get better, Jeff won’t be able to brew by his lonesome. Consider this week your week off. We’ll hopefully be able to [...]

Not sure if you know but I've started a group called the southern beer society(www.southernbeersociety.com). Sounds like we have the same ideas in mind and we need some help building a member base. Right now we have 43 members and are looking for more. We need members from Georgia as we have none right now. Let me know if you're interested. We could also use help on the website since we're beer guys not web guys!
