New color scheme ... Hoppy or Sloppy?

Thought the site could use a little color for the summer ... do you like the new color scheme and hoppy background or should we revert back to the old look?

Share your thoughts and ideas!

Cheers,

Some of the darker text is difficult to read. Of course, I'm new so I don't know what the old sceme looked like......

I'm a fan of simple designs, softer colors, etc... I like the monochromatic in a beer pallet thing. But then again, I'm dull like that and my blog needs a serious overhaul...

It's quite gaudy (sp?) Very hoppy, but I'm a darkie so it's rather blinding to me...just being honest :)=

To be honest - I liked the old scheme better.

I like the new banner but I like the old color scheme.

It's pretty - I like the green, but it's a bit busy. There is already a lot going on with the page, and this adds more. I like experimentation though! I prefer the green to the orange. Was it orange? I also have a short attention span.

At work, where's it's most important for me to able to waste my time on this site, the page links are rather dark and the green for the text background is a bit YCDTOTV for my tastes, but it's not something I would have been compelled to comment on unless you'd asked...

Thanks for the input, Rob. I'm working on another idea as I write this response, so refresh your browser and see if we're moving in the right direction ... I think I personally like this a lot better. As always, have any specific recommendations, let me know!

The Aleuminati have spoken! Most of the members that I've heard from so far didn't care for the hop-heavy green scheme I experimented with yesterday. To be honest, I didn't either ... I've changed the scheme to a more "classy" beer-compatible color palate that I'm kinda diggin'. But just because I like it, though, doesn't mean this is what we're gonna stick with. As before, let me know what you think of this one (as of 12:02pm CST). I'm still playing with background images a bit, but I do like the dark beer water bead thing ...

what do you, the Aleuminati, think?

Oh, by the way, look for an upgrade to the platform to happen sometime on Thursday, July 10th. More functionality in the forum and a few other miscellaneous improvements ... ...
