Howdy folks, So last Week I brewed my first ever batch of beer. Its fermenting nicely now and it is an irish draught ale. The initial brewing took 3 hours, and I recorded the whole thing on video. In a few weeks I'm going to bottle it after fermentation. I am very eager to see how it comes out. Just some general brewing notes. I started the boiling at 4 pm, boiled 2.5 gallons of water then steeped the specialty grains for 20 minutes as the water was coming up to heat, but made sure not to boil the grains. Before all of this I activated the liquid yeast by smashing the hell out of the package 2 nights prior. Active Fermentation started just over 29 hours after pouring into primary fermentor.

Stay tuned everybody for my beer guide updates(20 pages is going to take a while to get it going)
