One thing I don't share with my wife is her taste for lagers. We purchased a few Glissade bock style beers, and at the first taste my mouth identified it as a lager style.
Well I finished it, and won't be opening one up again for myself. I wanted to know a little more about the style and found that it was the style brewed by German monks to get them through their fasting days.
My wife was born in Austria, and baptized in a brewery, by German monks.
So I guess the taste for lagers is in her blood.
