Who am I?:
I teach beer appreciation classes at several Comm. Colleges in Seattle. I have worked for a large craft brewery in downtown Seattle. I currently work at an alehouse that features small Washington breweries and Belgian beers. I am a full on beer geek who doesn't talk about beer like a super beer geek. I want help answer anyone's questions about beer. By anyone I mean anyone. If people know what's in their beer they might want to try other beers outside of their comfort zone. I cannot stand beer geeks that talk down to people they feel are not as erudite as they are.

Silver City WhoopPass Double IPA

Unless you live in the Seattle area you probably cannot get this beer. I'm not singing the praises of this beer to say, "Nah-nah-nah-nah-naahhh", but every beer lover should visit the Northwest at least once. When you make the pilgrimage out here this is one beer you should drink while you're here, and pack another one in your suitcase to take home. Silver City started out as a little brewpub in Silverdale, WA, and almost never sent their kegs out, but won a bunch of medals at various brew fests… Continue
