- The Local Brew with Mark Marion takes you around the world in search of the greatest craft breweries. Not all beers are created equal, but if you put in a little extra effort you’ll find there are some great ones out there.
In an attempt to put a face on the artistry behind each unique craft brew, we’ve set out to meet the brewers whose passion and skill are setting a new standard for what it means to be a great beer. We'll visit their breweries, hear their stories, and spread the word about craft beer. Along the way, we'll find out what makes local brews local. We'll show viewers new locations (and sometimes familiar ones) through the lens of craft brewing. You can call it an ongoing, purposeful road trip; you can call it passion. One thing is certain: we believe in craft beer.

Thanks so much for the list of places to visit! We haven't firmed up the itinerary yet... still in the planning stages, so this helps BIG time! And the mini-Croat beer guide rocks. Of course, you know I'll have to try all of them myself anyway, but good to know going in what to expect! ;) Thanks again amigo!
So you spent 3 weeks in Croatia, huh? Mind if I pick your brain for spots to go? The wife and I are going on a 4 week trip to Europe in 2010 (she's 100% German, so we're hitting up the 200th Oktoberfest in Munich and going to see some of her relatives, which includes an uncle that owns/runs 2 breweries - so I might not come back!). We're also hitting Belgium, Italy and Croatia.

And yes... I am Croatian! My grandfather was born there and moved over here to the US (as best as we can tell) in 1899 or 1900.
