A musician too, huh? You're in good company on that front as well, although I am semi-retired (or maybe just tired). Occasionally I still pick up the axe. You'll find a kindred guitar spirit in Aleuminati regular, Rob D. too ...

Profile Information

Favorite beer style(s) of the moment:
Hops, hops, hops. Fall is my favorite time of year because I am in love with the taste of a fresh hop ale [see: Rogue Independence Fresh Hop Ale]. When I can't have fresh hops I like the most brutal IPA you can throw at me; Ninkasi Total Domination IPA, Rogue Imperial IPA, Stone Ruination IPA... basically anything upwards of 75 IBUs is a-okay with me.

When I'm not basking in the glory of hops, I enjoy a good Porter, especially a Smoked Porter. Stone Smoked Porter, Southern Oregon Brewing Co. Porter, Caldera Pilot Rock Porter... etc.

I would rather drink a local beer than an import, and living in the Pacific Northwest offers me a variety of opportunities to stay well within the boundaries of 'local' without sacrificing quality.
Who am I?:
I am a 22 year old female in love with my home state of Oregon. I am a writer [fiction and non], a beer snob [obviously...], a gardener [hoping to grow my own hops this season...], a music buff [just ask...], and a guitarist. I content myself for the moment with sampling and analyzing other people's brews, but would eventually love to concoct my own. Wanna know anything else, just ask.

Side note: Ragutiene is the Slavic Goddess of fermentation.
