"Hi gang! I've not been here for a visit in some time and only just now found this group for beer bloggers. Well I do some of that! Seems I don't add as much new content to my beer blog as I'd like, but I average two to three new…"

Setting and Circumstance

There certainly are a number of things to consider when tasting a new beer - color, clarity, head, taste and finish all come to mind, but it seems a novice beer collector like me needs to be aware of another, sometimes more important aspect of the tasting process as well. I call it Setting and Circumstance. I expounded on the topic (perhaps to excess) at Beer Rant but feel it's important and (hopefully) thought-provoking enough to raise here at Aleuminati as well.

Beer Trading "Market Research"

Following some discussion about possible beer trades, I managed to get out to a couple of the local specialty shops here in north Phoenix and found a few local brews generally available as well as some craft beers from the western U.S. (Colorado, New Mexico and California)

Smitty, thanks for your service too then... I'm in the Air Force, but have worked with the Army on few things in my day. It's an honor and pleasure to serve, and I really mean that...

I hear you about retirement, we all gotta plan so we can chill when that day comes. I'd love to have a second carrier with a brewery after retirement, but I need to learn a lot more before that could happen.

Cool, how many years until you hit retirement? I'm a military guy myself...

Low level Gov functionary? I gotta ask, what do you do? No need to answer if you don't want to, but I dig the description. LOL!
