Clown Shoes & Ass Antlers

I've never been more amused by a shit storm in all my life! I must actually thank Candace Alstom of Beer Advocate for getting her panties in a wad over Clown Shoes Brewing's labels. If not for her, Stacey George (Clown Shoes label artist) would never have written on her blog about said shit storm, and I wouldn't have never so been entertained by 'Ass Antlers'! "My labels for Clown Shoes—which were named Best Craft Beer Art of 2011 by PourCurator.com—are not…See More

One Beer At A Time

Soo... it's been a stressful week, I'm about ready to tear my hair out, & I'm counting the days till Brewers Rendezvous where I can chill out, have fun, drink great beer, & de-stress.But in the meantime...Got a new distributor into the store- GREAT products, but is difficult to have conversation with driver who speaks little english. Invoice was a little screwy, but I think it'll turn out ok. Am a little sad that we couldn't get the Kalashnikov approved- it would've been a popular item.…See More

Bert the Conqueror Comes to Colorado

"Bert the Conqueror", from the Travel Channel will be in Canon City this weekend to film for his show. He's tackling the Raft Rodeo, put on by Raft Masters, to kick off the whitewater season. Ought to be quite interesting, as the rodeo will be across the river from Brew Ha-Ha, where the brews will be flowing copiously, & people let loose on what is supposed to be a hot sunny day. It'll be great exposure for Southern Colorado, and for Colorado microbreweries. With 20 beer tents, stand up…See More

Drunk in a Garden

So for Mother's Day, I decided to give my momma the one thing I knew she'd want- I watered her rather large garden of trees, pretty flowers, grapes, strawberries, shrubs, succulents, and those plants that have been deemed 'forget me nots'. Those are the things that she's planted and forgot what the hell they were. I did it as she would have it done- with beer(s) in hand, & discovered why she has so much fun. With a steady stream of blues, brews, & cold as hell water, I watered my way…See More

"Last year there were 35 tents & over 1500 people attending & it was a hella lot of fun! The beer glass was 16oz- I expect it'll be the same this year. Gods, that's a lot of beer!"
