Two things that have helped me massively - one, belonging to an excellent homebrew forum where help is on hand (i've even logged on midway through a brew and got some help live) and secondly, if possible, hook up with someone to show you the ropes...

You know, Landlord gets all the press, but i never order it if Dark Mild is on - it's so light, yet so flavoursome. Chewy roasted goodness. It is hard to find though, god knows why!!!

Leigh,

Our IPA is finally coming out this October 10th. Come on down and try our Hopitoulas and enjoy New Orleans. We can give you a tour of the brewery if your interested. We will try to get up to you in the next few years. Seems like a good idea for a trip.

The Czech fest was actually in a tiny town called Wilbur, Nebraska. Seemed appropriate to wear the shirt for that event. Not so sure the Czech's will qualify this time, it is looking grim for them with 4 matches left. They did help knock USA out of the last cup, so I am not really thier biggest fan;) England is looking great, I think Capello was a great pick-up for you guys.
