The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

The first domestic unrest in the United States occurred after the US attempted to place an excise on whiskey. Pennsylvania went nuts. What is whiskey, after all, but distilled beer?

How about a stein with a picture of Luther, Staupitz (who was Luther's mentor and confessor but remained a Roman), Tyndale (English) and Bucer (Reformed), sitting at a table? Pictures of all ought to be available. The picture would be a slight anach…

I regret that I won't be there; I'll be in Massachusetts for most of that time. But one of the beers I hoist at Fenway Park on the 22nd will be to you!

Hellooooo, Kenneth of Wittenburg. Welcome. I hoist one in your honor. Xpistoc Bocxpece!

Profile Information

Favorite beer style(s) of the moment:
Bavarian black beer--there's still nothing better than Reichelbräu's Urkulm or the Andechs or Weltenburg monastery beers.
Who am I?:
I'm an organist and seminarian of the one church denomination that is most closely associated with great beer--Lutheran. After all, Katy Luther, the Great Reformer's wife, brewed beer in their cellar, and the famous Table Talks were generally delivered over copious mugs of Katy's brew, which was highly esteemed.
How did you find out about the Aleuminati?
A friend sent me an email about it
Were you referred by anyone? If so, who? (screen name)
