Thank you for replying to my blog post regarding "setting and circumstance." Like you, I'm not a writer so much as an ink spiller. My blog is almost a fluke but I'm using it as a self-teaching tool and a way of tracking what I've tried and what I like and dislike. I've taken to carrying an engineer's or surveyor's notebook with waterproof pages, but it won't fit in my pocket as nicely as the book you wrote about. Sadly, when I was in the army, I was too green to appreciate good beer. Your descriptions of how setting and circumstance can taint the beer drinking experience are dead on the money. Who knew plain old Bud could be so good? Thank you again for sharing your insite, I do appreciate hearing what others here have to say.
