Shawn, thanks for the tips! I'm usually disappointed by Pumpkin ales, but I really like the concept so I keep trying them!

This has been among my favorites in past years too, however this year it seems slightly different to me. Likely it's my palate changing, but it seems a little "boozy" to me, particularly once it warms a bit. Still a pretty good balance of fall spices and malt, but I just can't get past the harshness I'm getting. Even so, still among the best I've had this year.

New Holland Ichabod on the other hand ... not so much. Schlafly Pumpkin is always solid, but it's a big beer and I expect some alcohol in that one. So far this year, I've got to give my vote to O'Fallon Pumpkin Ale for balance and over all enjoyment.

Not sure where you can find it. but where I am in NJ I've been seeing it all over as compared to years past. This was the first year I got to try it - nice stuff. Pumpkin beer bread? Hmmmmmm.

Never tried that one, where can one find that? The southeast ale houses are very inconsistent with good brew... Sometimes I have to scout the Irish pubs. Although the Disney Village had a place that brewed their own, and they had quite a few different styles of microbrews. I got a red kind that just did not go with my dinner, and had a hard time finishing it.

My favorite too, and makes a stellar beer bread.
