Have just watched the video about the Delerium Tremens bar in Brussels. Great place, but I'm sorry to report, especially as most of the members of Aleuminati seem to come from North America, but I was in DT with a couple of friends just over 4 years ago. One friend had just returned from the bar with a round of interesting drinks and reported that whilst waiting to get served, two Americans had walked in and asked for "Two bottles of Bud!"
Incredible, but true I'm afraid.

Aaaaaaaargh!!! Piraat Ale! Just had my first a couple weeks ago. Amazing stuff. Like it even better than the Great Houblon Chouffe - and that's saying a Mouthful!
Belgian IPA has fast become my favorite style, other than Lambic.
I'm also on a Stone Cali-Belgie quest. If anybody knows where I can find a bottle or two in a Beer Dist., please give me a holler. I know Bobbieque has it, but I'd like to fill up the backseat of my car with This Baby!?!

I thought the yeast wouldn't impart much flavor during bottle conditioning, so (extra) warm conditioning temps wasn't a big deal. Was I wrong on that?

Last week, at a belgioan beer tasting event, I had the pleasure to introduce Belgian abbey beers. The next link you have photos from event http://www.pauzadebere.info/bere-belgiana-manastireasca-dragoste-la... . ( I am the monk who presents beer)

Here is one more article I found, http://www.byo.com/stories/techniques/article/indices/14-bottling/1212-on-the-yeast-guide-to-bottle-conditioning , apparently Unibroue conditions at 68-77 F. Not surprised that different brewers will use different ranges.

Given what I've read about their fermentation temperatures, I can't say I'm totally shocked. But actually, I am pretty shocked. That's toasty!

Yeah, I was a little surprised at it being that warm.

Wow. Thanks Ray! it seems to be a topic that comes up in bottle conditioning. Everyone thinks warm is too warm. In fact not warm enough!
