The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

So, anyone planning to enjoy something special for the Super Bowl today? I've yet to decide ...

Kimbertron and I are cracking open another bottle of Dark Lord. I'm not sure what we'll be following up with yet...

I am going to be bringing a few bottles of the Indocrinators,a few bottles of my saison and a growler of my IPA. I also think I may bust out my bottle of Firestone Walker XII as there will be a few people that enjoy a really good beer. I wanted to open it for the birth of my baby but there was no one to drink it with so why not the superbowl.

We're going to be enjoying these buffalo chicken sliders (http://www.musingsoverapint.com/2008/12/buffalo-chicken-and-hoppy-b...) along with some hoppy beers, including SN Celebration and Boulder Hazed & Infused.

Probably start with the homebrewed mild I have on tap and then switch to the Rogue Yellow Snow I picked up yesterday that or the Mammoth 395 IPA.

My brother-in-law and I are headed to the Testicle Festival, and smuggling in a variety of craft beers to find the best pairing for Rocky Mountain Oysters. On our list to take are homebrewed old ale, porter, dark lager, saison, amber ale, as well as Millstream's Iowa Pale Ale and Schild Brau, and a bottle of Celebrator.

Hey Jim,

Was at the Bottle works in Maplewood last weekend and thought of you ... make it over there much anymore?

Sounds like a plan, Matt! Interested to hear your thoughts on the Firestone Walker XII ... tried mine a bit too early, I think. Still excellent, but would have been even better with a little dust on the bottle.

Hope the new edition is doing well?! We've got another 6 months or so to go ...

I never brought the Firestone Walker XII and I am glad I didn't after your comment. Maybe I should hold out until next superbowl or atleast fall 09 for it to get some dust on the bottle. All the homebrew went quick. One of my friends brought the Rogue Yellow Snow and Santa Private Reserve Ale. Both were very nice but the Santa needs to be room temp or you just taste the spices.
