The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

The following is information on a craft beer festival planned for March of 09.
Buckbean Brewing Company has partnered with MonteLago Village in Las Vegas to bring this event to sin city.
Right now we're looking for any breweries from around the US interested in attending. Please feel free to contact us at info@buckbeanbeer.com for more info.
Thanks!

Buckbean Brewing Company, the largest production microbrewery in Nevada, and the MonteLago Village Resort at Lake Las Vegas are hosting the first-annual MonteLago Village Beer Fest at MonteLago Village Resort. Taking place March 14th from 3 to 7 p.m., the festival will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Las Vegas, plus feature craft beers from around the United States served in the serene setting of MonteLago's cobblestone streets and majestic mountains. At just $20 per person, which includes an engraved commemorative glass, MonteLago's inaugural Craft Beer Fest offers a fun opportunity to taste the country's most distinctive brews, plus provide help to those with a debilitating disease.
Live music and scrumptious edibles will also accompany the plethora of craft brews at the event. "Buckbean is excited to partner with MonteLago Village on this event," said owner Douglas Booth. "This exceptional location is perfect for both tourists and locals to enjoy a day of craft beers, finished off by dinner at one of MonteLago's restaurants or an overnight getaway in the Resort's lavish accommodations."
Visitors wishing to spend the night can take advantage of MonteLago Village Resort's luxury lakeside lodging, complete with scenic balconies, full kitchens and living areas, starting at only $99 per night, not including resort fees or taxes. To book accommodations for the event, please call 866-564-4799 and ask for Beer Fest rates. While there, enjoy MonteLago's many restaurants and shops, which offer shopping and dining options ranging from tapas and Mexican dining to upscale clothing boutiques, to Italian cuisine rivaling that of Italy itself.
Buckbean Brewing Company recently expanded into the Las Vegas and Northern California markets. The craft beer company produces its two signature beers, Original Orange Blossom Ale and Black Noddy Lager, in 16-ounce, environmentally-friendly cans, giving beer fans the opportunity to take their favorite brew with them hiking, biking, golfing and boating without the worry of glass breaking.
For more information on the upcoming festival visit www.buckbeanbeer.com or call 775-857-4444 or for information on MonteLago Village visit www.montelagovillage.com or call 702-564-4766.

Best of luck with your event, guys! I've 'Featured' this post so hopefully you'll get some positive response. As I've stated elsewhere, I'm a fan of your Black Noddy lager!

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I'd simply suggest spreading the word as much as possible in niche websites like this one, in addition to any direct touch points you might have with prospective craft breweries you'd like to have on board. I'll post the info on the beerphilosopher.com site as well. Look for it soon.

Cheers!

The only suggestions I can think of are from an attendees perspective and the things I wish were a little different at the festivals I've attended. First of all, hopefully you'll have plenty of space to accomodate the attendees, tables to sit or stand at to eat are great, shade if it's outside, and plenty of bathrooms.
One thing I'd like to see at festivals more often is the breweries posting what they are serving so it can be seen from the back of the line. Oftentimes you'll have to shove to the front of the line to see what's being served which leads to further congestion.

Hopefully this helps.
