I am looking to start brewing and wanted to know is there a book that is considered the best resource for begging brewers thanks in advance.    cheech

I got started with Papazian's Complete Joy of Homebrewing and that worked well for me. A little bit more nerdy and detailed would be John Palmer's How to Brew. Most people start with malt extracts then move to partial mash (where you use malt extracts and steep specialty grains). Some then move on to "all grain" and brew like 'real' breweries on a very small scale.

I am really partial to John Palmer's How to Brew, also his Brewing Classic Styles with Jamil Zainasheff is a great recipe book. Cheers, it's a great hobby.
