The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

No, seriously, what is it going to be? Thoughts? Ideas?

I brewed my batch with the White Labs London Ale yeast on Saturday. Ended up exactly at 1.061. Looking forward to this one!

Racked to secondary and dry hopped with an oz of fuggles on Saturday, tasting pretty good so far.

Racked mine to keg and carb last night.

Racked mine to the secondary carboy today. Gravity was 1.023...a little higher than I was expecting. The yeast I used claims an attenuation of 71% which I think should have it go to about 1.017. Perhaps it will got a bit lower over the next week or two before kegging.

I brewed this last Monday (2/16)... due to some mash troubles, I ended up with an original gravity of 1.051. I'll be adding the dry hops in a few days.

We racked ours over to secondary yesterday after a whirlwind primary fermentation (literally was chugging away at the airlock within an hour) that finished out in just four days. Everything seems right on target, too. Not planning on doing any more hopping, just going to let it sit out the next couple weeks and then keg it. I'll put aside bottles for whomever's interested in trading to see how different versions compare.

(Last time, there was a small enough pool of brewers that we all shared samples with each other, but this time, it seems we've amassed quite a large crowd of inoculators. It would only seem prudent to make sharing an "opt in" experience this time around, considering it's supposed to be fun, not an exercise in spending as much time and money at the UPS store as possible.)

Just got the grains this past weekend. Should be brewing this early March. Why so late? I had 4 others I had to brew first for my birthday party in march... :P

Anyhow, I will be brewing this with 2 new brewer's. They will be making extracts while I do AG. Should be a busy day.

Cheers
Preston

Brewing tonight (I hope)! HBS was out of Fuggles so I'm going all EKG.

Just bottled my version. I need to find a way to make bottling more ergonomic. I hate bottling!

Howzit taste? (The beer, not the bottles.)

Pretty good, nice crisp hoppiness with some malty background notes. Looking forward to tasting once it's had some time to condition.
