The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

If there's one thing I enjoy as much as fine craft beer... it's sports. And with sports comes FANTASY sports. I'm an addict.

Fran, my brother (who will be joining the Aleuminati today, since he's the one that actually got me into microbrews) and I have a NASCAR fantasy league going on Yahoo. I know it's a little late since Daytona revs up today, but better late than never, eh?

Go to Yahoo Sports. Click on little red Fantasy tab on the right side (or click on the link I provided), and join the fun!

League Name is: Those Who Like To Turn Left
League password: nascar0208

If NASCAR ain't your thang... baseball is RIGHT around the corner, so is March Madness. I'll be starting up leagues for those as well!

I'm in! My Dawgs lost at home tonight (a very rare occurance), so the only way they'll make the Big Dance this year is to win the conference tourney outright next weekend. If they don't, my interest level will lessen, but I gotta perservere!

I love the group name!

I'm in too!

I belong to an online fantasy sport competition site that just started up last year. It was started by a few poker bloggers that I know - Fantasy Sports Live. They have daily cash competitions for Basketball, Nascar, Hockey, Baseball and Football. It's a site where you put your money where your mouth is and select a new team for a single day's competition. It's great for those of us who don't have the time to manage a team for an entire season. You can just participate for one day's games! Check em out over at Fantasy Sports Live. And yes, if you use the bonus code "chipper" in the link you'll be eligible for getting up to $30 in bonus money.

I also like March Madness. I'll see if I can get in the Aleuminati March Maltness competition.

So if you think you can manage a team through 162 games to beat me... come on down!

Managing a fantasy baseball team throughout the entire 162 game season can be quite time consuming. I managed one Yahoo Fantasy Baseball team one summer and found that it took up more time than I had. That's why I switched to a daily fantasy cash game. You simply pick players for one day's games and go up against 1, 3 or 9 other managers. Best team for that day's games takes the money.

Was the baseball league canceled or did I get kicked out for picking on NASCAR. I went to my yahoo account and the league was gone.

HAHAHA! Sorry amigo... I canned it and completely forgot to let you know. My bad. It was only you and I - and two peeps don't make a fantasy league. Had nothing to do with your NASCAR comment. Much. At all. ;)

If more then two of us are interested in it... I'll fire it back up. Easy enough to do. Today's game in Japan didn't count in any league, so we have until the weekend.

Just let me know but it could be fun to see how many points we would get with all-star teams and an all-star bench. ;-)

Sorry, I'd love to participate guys, but I just won't have the time.

I don't want to start a fight (well actually I do cause its fun) but nascar isn't a sport. Therefore you can't have a fantasy sports league with out a sport. I will be happy to try and win the rest of your leagues though starting with March Madness!!
