The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

While I'm still tallying the final totals for the membership contest from last month (sorry for my slowness on that one), I had an idea for a new contest ... so here it is!
All of the great photos you guys have been submitting lately got me to thinking about the website's header ... if you've been a member for any length of time you'll have noticed that the header image changes periodically. I have about 10-12 different photos I've adapted to fit the header background and I switch them out occasionally just to keep things fresh and interesting. I'd like to develop more of these though, so why not have an Aleuminati header photo contest!!!

If you have a photo, or photos, you think would look particularly good on the header of the site, just email them to me and I'll compile those I think have what it takes and convert them to header images. I'll choose one member-submitted photo per month. You could see your photo as the next Aleuminati header! I'll even add a nice little attribution line in the bottom right corner that reads "Photo provided by the Aleuminati's own _____________" Or something to that effect.

Oh the glory ... the prestige!

And if that weren't enough, I'll also provide a prize for every photo I decide to use. The prize will be from the Beer Philosopher's Shoppe and will be of my choosing - suffice to say, it'll be something nice (not just a sticker). Not that our stickers aren't nice, but you know what I mean!

The Rules: This will be an ongoing contest with an end date TBA. Members may submit as many photos as you wish, but only one winner (and one photo) will be chosen per month. All photos become the property of www.aleuminati.com and may be used for promotional purposes on this site. Members may win up to one time every three months (or four times per year). For example, if you're the winner for October, you'll be eligible to win again in January. Photos submitted must be at least 72 dpi resolution and at least 900 pixels wide to ensure quality.

Email photos directly to me here. The contest starts NOW!

It's variable, but the current one is right at 925 pixels wide x 235 pixels high. I'd like to stay in this height range so content isn't pushed down the page too much. Guess I should have mentioned that in the first place, huh? Thanks!

Congratulations to our October winner, Siobhan Crosby! Great photo, Siobhan. You'll be getting something cool from the Beer Philosopher's shoppe for your efforts!

If you'd like to submit photos for November's header, just email them directly to me and I'll sort through them and pick a winner on or after November 1st. Please send photos in the highest resolution possible. The header width is about 940 pixels wide ... small photos just won't resize well and end up too pixelated for use on the header.

Again, congrats on being our first winner, Siobhan! You'll be getting a message from me soon.
