The Aleuminati-the not so secret society of better beer drinkers

The only thing that's mysterious is why people would drink cheap, fizzy beer.

I'm considering going to the Maine Brewer's Festival this year on Nov. 1 since I live not too far away from Portland and because Maine/Portland have some great brews to share with the world (Gritty's, Geary's, Peak Organic, Sebago, Stone Coast, Casco Bay and Allagash, to name a few). Anyone else in the New England area thinking of hitting that up? There is both a Saturday day and evening session to choose from. We could have an Aleuminati gathering before/after/during the fest and compare notes!
Let me know what you think - for more info on the fest itself:

Happy tasting!

I'd love to as my in-laws are living up that way, and I get dragged up to the great north often. But I'll be away on training in Nov...

Has anyone tried Oak Pond Brewery? They're kind of out in the middle of nowhere, but real close to where the "out-laws" have their home. Have been meaning to try them out for some time now...

I haven't seen there stuff as I live a bit farther south than they distribute. However, I go up that way occasionally and I'll have to put it on the list. Thanks for the tip!

I'd love to go, but I don't think I can go to Maine, as my former in-laws live in biddeford and saco.

The Brew Dudes will be attending the afternoon session. I think this will be our 10 consecutive visit to the fest...wow...time sure flies by.

We attend the fest, then it's off to Bill's Pizza in the Old Port, then to Three Dollar Dewey's to find the beer we liked at the fest.

Did anyone else attend the fest?
