Dining in Portland,OR

Hi all,

I am going to Portland for my birthday this week and I wondered if anyone had any ideas of any places I should try and hit. I am planning to eat at some of the brew pubs but i would like to also try something that the locals frequent like a hole in the wall or the best breakfast in Portland. I would also like to hit at least one higher end restaurant for a nice dinner. So if anyone has any good suggestions please let me know. Also if you have any suggestions for breweries I should hit that would be cool too.

Where are the Portland people to help you out???

All the brewpubs are worth stopping at except maybe one that begins and ends with a 'T'.

Its all good. I am on day 3 and I have hit 7 brewpubs and most of the time I have been grabbing something at each place and splitting with my wife. So other then breakfast at the Cadillac Cafe (very good but a little pricey) we haven't been to a normal restaurant. This is a really good Birthday so far. I plan to hit SE portland today and then hit a few of the sights tomorrow and then back home to work.
