Hope all of you are enjoying American Craft Beer Week as I am. I had the golden opportunity to attend the Samuel Adams Beer Dinner at the Rioja restaurant in downtown Denver on Thursday night. Best of all - it was FREE! I entered in a contest sponsored by Samuel Adams to their newsletter subscribers and was shocked when they told me I had won. vbg-log Friday went to Fun Hunters; Ale Asylum; Grumpy Troll; and attempted New Glarus Saturday, couldn't find Two Brothers, but did make it to Goose Island clybourn. Good times, Great Beers. V

Founders Breakfast Stout may be my favorite Stout and Mike and Mollies in Champaign IL has it on tap just. I just wanted to say if you have not had Founders Breakfast Stout on tap Man it is awesome and I did my best to brink it dry Friday night but I could not get her to float. (In the future I will try harder)

There certainly are a number of things to consider when tasting a new beer - color, clarity, head, taste and finish all come to mind, but it seems a novice beer collector like me needs to be aware of another, sometimes more important aspect of the tasting process as well.
